WCI has a multicultural and ethnically diverse staff that hold advanced degrees in many areas.

Examples of these disciplines include health promotion and risk reduction; mental health; child care; early childhood education; child and adolescent development; adult education; psychology; social work; guidance and counseling; public policy; communications; organizational development; human resources; finance and accounting; business management; computer science; and international affairs.

In addition to its highly qualified personnel, WCI maintains a proprietary database of several thousand technical experts and consultants across the United States. These professionals possess subject-matter expertise on topics of particular importance to our clients. When we utilize their services on WCI client engagements, it extends the depth and breadth of the capabilities and technical range of our project teams. It also allows us to better match client needs with the proper scope and level of technical expertise to meet specific task requirements. Our consultants also serve on projects in the capacity of technical experts, panelists, peer reviewers, facilitators, and technical assistance specialists. We place particular emphasis on cultivating long-standing relationships with these professionals in order to provide continuity, reliability, and added value to our clients. In fact, a large proportion of our consultants have long-standing, individual histories with the company spanning over 10 years.

The firm also maintains strategic business partnerships with a select number of firms. Typically, the corporate capabilities of these firms complement those of WCI, thereby allowing us to provide a one-stop solution on various client engagements, if needed.
